Are we at the beginning of the end?

Over the next few weeks I want to discuss with you about the one thing that has been a mystery for many civilizations for thousands of years.

It’s been talked about, prophesied over, made fun of, written about and discussed from bar room table tops to kitchen table tops by everyone in this room and probably by everyone over the age of 12 since the beginning of time.

J We took over a year to discuss the book of revelation.

J We chased rabbits

J We climbed mountains

J Crawled through caves

J Got shot at sometimes and through all this we came up to the conclusion that we still don’t know anything more or less that what Gods words says and the interpretation of that still leaves a lot to the discernment of not only this preacher but to all those before him and those after him until the lord returns …which is what this is all about.

In the next few weeks we will use many scripture and a few non scriptures about end times and the time we live in and there will be many educated or uneducated thoughts found in the book of 2nd James.

This next few weeks will be more or less for those who have not attended our training classes…and you can say this may be
end of times class 101.

As usual I cannot fully teach in just 20 or thirty minutes…so I cannot answer any questions here but if you write your questions down and give them to me later I will answer all that I receive and if you don’t get your answer right away that means it will come up in future discussions, not that I am not going to answer them.

Patience is all I ask.

If you have friends that would be interested in these sermons I would say get them to come and join in.

Now since this is the first sermon: it is titled …

”you have to have a beginning to have an end”

Please turn to Gen. 1: 1

Ge 1:1 ¶ In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
Ge 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
Ge 1:3 ¶ And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
Ge 1:4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
Ge 1:5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

Now skip down to:

Ge 1:26 ¶ And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
Ge 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
Ge 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
Ge 1:29 ¶ And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
Ge 1:30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.
Ge 1:31 ¶ And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

To have an end of times you have to have a beginning…

Here in Genesis we have found that in the beginning there was nothing but God…and God created…

He created all that we have…

All that we see

He created everything for one reason and one reason only….He created it for us….

He created everything for us.

He created us in His image…and that can lead to a lot of discussions…but I want you to take it as the statement is right now…but I want to add…He is still creating us in His image…He has never stopped.

God has created us to have a relationship with him…He gave us a beginning with Adam and Eve…and then they sinned.

Time began

The countdown to the end started.

Like all living things that live in a sinful world everything started to die…to wind down…

As life ends so does everything else.

J Stars die

J Energy dissipates

J Light grows dark.

Remember when we were young and full of vitality.

1.    We had the energy to do anything and everything…

2.    Today it’s hard for us to bend over and tie our shoes…if we can still see our shoes.

3.    Our hair is turning gray and turning loose.

We use to run as fast as lighting and now it’s as fast as molasses. Cold molasses!

We use to be able to see for miles and now we are lucky to see what is in front of us.

We replace the parts in our bodies like we replace the roofing on our house.

We will do anything to stay alive a week longer, a hour longer a breath longer, but yet it still comes…age, destruction, a failing of all our systems…everything dies.

I know that people don’t like to hear those words….but it’s true and that is what people hate the most…truth.

Ec 1:1 ¶ The words of the Preacher, the son of David, king in Jerusalem.
Ec 1:2 Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher, vanity of vanities; all is vanity.
Ec 1:3 What profit hath a man of all his labour which he taketh under the sun?
Ec 1:4 ¶ One generation passeth away, and another generation cometh: but the earth abideth for ever.
Ec 1:5 The sun also ariseth, and the sun goeth down, and hasteth to his place where he arose.
Ec 1:6 The wind goeth toward the south, and turneth about unto the north; it whirleth about continually, and the wind returneth again according to his circuits.
Ec 1:7 All the rivers run into the sea; yet the sea is not full; unto the place from whence the rivers come, thither they return again.
Ec 1:8 All things are full of labour; man cannot utter it: the eye is not satisfied with seeing, nor the ear filled with hearing.
Ec 1:9 ¶ The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.
Ec 1:10 Is there any thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? it hath been already of old time, which was before us.
Ec 1:11 There is no remembrance of former things; neither shall there be any remembrance of things that are to come with those that shall come after.

Ec 1:12 ¶ I the Preacher was king over Israel in Jerusalem.

Those last 3 verses 9-11 cab be argued to a point today…there is nothing that hasn’t already been done…nothing new…people are the same... they never learn by their mistakes.

And just as God destroyed the world with a flood and Sodom and Gomorra with fire and brimstone…God will certainly destroy this world again.

A few weeks ago we discussed is man more intelligent today than he was when Adam and Eve walked the earth…Adam and eve were the perfect creation…

Though they committed sin there was no sin in there bodies…they had perfect bodies and that is why they lived so long.

As disease took over the human body, life shortened.

I believe that the human mind was much more intelligent then than it is now.

Where we use 10% of the brain I believed that they used 75 to 80 percent.

Where is the evidence…look at our youth of today…satan has stolen there minds or their ability to think…and so they have ensnared them or enslaved them to sin.

There is power in knowledge and more power for those who know how to use that knowledge.

God created this world for a purpose and when that purpose is complete he will destroy this world as He had destroyed the evil that was taking place in the world with Noah and in Sodom and Gomorra, God will destroy the evil in this world.

Everything is like a clock that winds down.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8  To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

And there is a time for the beginning and there is a time for the end.

You say bro. Jim how can you say for sure…that we are in the end times or the time of the end…

I believe it by my spirit… I believe it by the word of God and we will go over those words in the weeks ahead.

I believe it because of what is called dispensations of time…

What is a dispensation….you ask?

It’s an allowance of time…

1.    Time for salvation

2.    Time for Gods plan to be set in place

3.    Time for God’s people to make the choice of life and death.

It’s a relaxation of the rules…

1.    Knowing that we are not holy and we are sinners who cannot stand before a holy and just God because He cannot stand the sight of sin.

2.    Knowing that we should be put to death because of our sin…

3.    God has relaxed the rules…given His creation a chance to accept the path to salvation which is only in the blood of Jesus Christ.

It’s an exemption to the sentence of death

1.    by giving the time to complete his plan

2.    by giving time for the plan to grow in to fruition, bearing the seeds of salvation to the world around it

And at the right timing harvest the souls that have born witness to the son of God Jesus Christ though the second birth of salvation.

Clarence Larken…has described the Dispensations of time as the following;

Dispensation 1

          The creation of the earth

Dispensation 2

          The antediluvian dispensation

Includes Eden (maybe) and the time from when Adam and eve                   were kicked out of the garden till the flood.

Dispensation 3

The Legal or time of the law dispensation.

This includes the oral history of the Land before written                              language.

This includes other cultures that derived from the division                          caused by God at the tower of Babel and their laws. Which I                      believe early in that part of historical time came from the                            Godly line of Adam.

This includes the law of Moses coming down from the                                 mountain.

This also concludes with the cross. In which the all the Law of          Moses and the prophets were fulfilled.

Dispensation 4

This is the age of grace…which we live in now and I personally        believe that it is drawing to a close real soon…soon and very soon.

This has been called the age of the church..in which we all have        seen is coming to an end which sets us up for the next dispensation…

Dispensation 5…the age of tribulation…

This is the age where we like to call it the end times, the last days      and the return of Christ when in reality it is not the end of        times…it’s the end of one dispensation to another…

Though it is just a short 7 years it will the most violent, it will be the         most horrific, and it will be the most suffering for the people of the       earth because God will judge them personally by sending judgment   to the earth it self.

You may say the flood was horrific for those involved and I would say yes in that it was violent…but death came swiftly where as with        the seven year tribulation people will be tortured and want to die but          yet they cant.

There are two more dispensations after the tribulation which I will discuss later.

So let me review just a little bit…

J God has created us for a purpose…

o   That purpose is:

§  To have fellowship…a relationship with the creator of the heavens and the earth.

§  God wishes His creation to be perfect and yet there has to be a spiritual aspect to that perfection and that comes by a walk of faith for us.

§  Not just a physical birth of perfection

§  Or a mental birth of perfection

§  An act of accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savoir and then the Holy Spirit comes into our hearts to complete the final construction of Gods perfect creation in a spiritual birth of perfection

J

J

J

J God’s plan has taken ages to fulfill to it’s ultimate conclusion

o   But yet with in those ages He still worked using His chosen people to build upon one stone after another, his perfect children and Christ being that perfect cornerstone which people will reject.

J The ultimate conclusion we see now is that His people have all but been chosen.

o   Through this dispensation of the church, the time where we walk by faith and not by sight.

o   Millions have accepted Jesus as Lord thus becoming a child of God.

o   And now it’s time for the King of King to come and set His kingdom up for the next dispensation.

J How do we know it’s time for Jesus to come?

o   Since all things have a beginning there has to be an end.

o   We again just have to look at history to see what has happen to the church in the last 2000 years.

§  Matthew 28:18-20  And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

§   That has been done: God’s word has gone to the 4 corners of earth.

§  The church has completed its mission.

§  The purpose of the church now is to continue to preach until the last person to be saved by faith is saved.

o   All things are ready for Christ to return for His Children.

J How do we know that we are living in the last days of this dispensation?

o   All we need to do and look at the news…

§  From the foundation of the church in the middle east to its last station of hope, the united states we see where sin has crept in and destroy the people of each country by sin.

§  The church is dead in the middle east, China, Russia, Europe and now with 53 million people voting for an abortionist, a homosexual activists, a person who says he is not a president for the Christians but for the Muslims, the Mormons as well as all other faiths…which is true…where do we see our church stand today?

§  They have (the government) has taken Christ out of our:

·       Schools

·       Our cities

·       And not they are going to take Christ out of the church by telling pastors what they can preach on or not preach on…because they will say I’m preaching a message of hate.

J How do we know if we can be ready?

o   Over the next few weeks I will be preaching on..

§  The rapture

§  The remnant

§  The return

§  The reconstruction

o   I say how can we know if we are ready…the answer is not just that easy…ready for what?

§  Are we prepared for what’s coming?

§  To do that…we need to know what is coming.

§  We need to understand our purpose and the purpose of the church and what will happen to both.

J Are you ready for what’s coming….

o   If we are living in the last days…

o   What will happen to you

o   What will happen to your children and grand children?

J If you’re a non believer or you never truly believed all those things found in the bible do you know what will happen to you.

J If you’re a believer but you back sliden and you have turned your back on God…do you know what will happen to you?

J If this is the beginning of the end are you ready for what is coming in the next few years…or next few month or how about the next few weeks.

J What if Jesus called us home today…

o   Would you go

o   Or would you like the famous books series…be left behind.

This morning as we close and have our time of decision I pray that your heart is right.

I pray that you are living as God wants you to live and that you have answered your calling…you purpose in life.

I pray that you have done what you are suppose to do…in preparing the way for yourself and your families for the coming of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ.
